Website Terms of Service

Last updated: September 2026

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of wmaccountancy.com. By accessing or using the website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, discontinue use.

01

Informational Purpose

The website describes WMA services, provides general educational information, allows prospective clients to contact WMA, provides approved resources, and supports communication with existing clients where applicable.

02

No Client Relationship

Use of the website does not create an accountant-client, tax-adviser-client, consulting, fiduciary, or other professional relationship. A professional relationship begins only after WMA determines it is willing and able to accept the engagement, the applicable scope and terms are agreed, an appropriate written engagement agreement is executed, and required onboarding conditions are satisfied.

03

Engagement Agreements Take Priority

These website Terms govern use of WMA’s website and supplement portal use as described below. Professional services, scope, fees, deadlines, client responsibilities, confidentiality, and engagement-specific dispute terms are governed by the signed engagement agreement and any documents expressly incorporated into it. If these website Terms conflict with that agreement on an engagement matter, the signed engagement agreement controls. Changes posted to these website Terms do not amend a signed engagement agreement. Amendments must follow the agreement’s requirements. Nothing in these Terms overrides rights or duties that cannot be waived under applicable law.

04

No Professional Advice Through the Website

Website information does not constitute individualized accounting, tax, legal, investment, financial-planning, assurance, valuation, or business-management advice.

05

Accuracy and Timeliness

WMA seeks to provide useful and accurate information but does not warrant that all website information will always be complete, current, error-free, or appropriate for every situation. Accounting standards, tax laws, regulations, and professional requirements may change.

06

Tax Information

Tax outcomes depend on taxpayer facts, filing status, income, deductions, credits, documentation, entity structure, jurisdiction, timing, and applicable law. WMA does not guarantee a specific refund, tax liability, or tax savings.

07

Service Pricing

Prices shown on the website are generally starting prices unless expressly stated otherwise. Actual fees may vary based on scope, complexity, volume, entities, record condition, filing requirements, reporting needs, professional involvement, and timing. Website pricing does not constitute a binding offer. Final pricing is established through the applicable proposal, engagement agreement, or written confirmation.

08

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, WMA website text, graphics, logos, downloadable materials, and other original content are owned by or licensed to Wilmot Mitchell Accountancy LLC and may be protected by applicable intellectual-property law.

09

Acceptable Use

Users may not use the website to violate law, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, interfere with functionality, harvest information improperly, impersonate others, transmit unlawful content, or misuse website forms.

10

Client Portal Responsibilities

Portal access is provided to authorized clients and contacts for engagement-related communications and document exchange. Use only the access assigned or approved for you, protect passwords and sign-in links, and do not share access with unauthorized persons. Keep your contact information current and promptly notify WMA at info@wmaccountancy.com or 214-971-1901 if you suspect unauthorized access or need an authorized user’s access changed. Submit only information you are entitled to share, check that uploads are complete and accurate, and follow agreed document deadlines and instructions. Keep copies of your original records. An upload or automated receipt confirms transmission only; it does not by itself confirm WMA’s review, acceptance of additional work, completion of a service, or filing with a tax authority. For urgent or deadline-sensitive matters, contact WMA directly and confirm the required next steps. If the portal is unavailable, contact WMA for an approved alternative; do not send sensitive records through the public consultation form or ordinary email. WMA manages the access it authorizes and handles engagement information subject to the applicable agreement and legal and professional duties. Portal access alone does not create or expand an engagement.

11

Third-Party Links and Services

The client portal and other linked services may be operated by independent providers. Their applicable terms and privacy policies govern use of their platforms and their processing of information. WMA does not control unrelated third-party content or guarantee uninterrupted platform availability. Provider terms do not replace WMA’s signed engagement agreement or relieve WMA of its own contractual, confidentiality, security, or other legal obligations. A signed WMA engagement agreement does not amend a provider’s separate terms. Contact WMA if a platform requirement appears inconsistent with your engagement.

12

Website Availability

WMA may modify, suspend, update, or discontinue portions of the website at any time and does not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

13

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, WMA will not be liable for losses arising solely from reliance on general website information or from interruptions, technical issues, third-party services, or unauthorized use of the website.

14

Governing Law

These Terms and disputes arising from or relating to use of this website are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles that would require application of another jurisdiction’s laws. This provision does not limit any rights or protections that cannot be waived under applicable law. Professional services are governed by the applicable signed engagement agreement.

15

Changes to the Terms

WMA may update these Terms periodically. Updated Terms become effective when posted unless otherwise stated.
