  • Prior-year federal and state returns
  • W-2, 1099, retirement, and investment forms
  • Mortgage-interest and property-tax records
  • Estimated-tax payments
  • Education, childcare, charitable, and medical information where applicable
  • Identity and dependent information requested through a secure process

Businesses

  • Prior-year business returns
  • Year-end balance sheet and profit-and-loss statement
  • Bank and credit-card reconciliations
  • Payroll and contractor reports
  • Fixed-asset purchases and disposals
  • Loan, lease, inventory, and owner-equity activity
  • Supporting schedules for significant or unusual transactions

Before submitting records

  • Confirm the accounting period is complete
  • Resolve uncategorized transactions
  • Reconcile cash and credit-card accounts
  • Separate business and personal activity
  • List major business or personal changes
  • Prepare questions for the tax-planning discussion

Protect sensitive information

Do not send Social Security numbers, tax documents, bank credentials, passwords, or other sensitive records through the public contact form or ordinary email. Use WMA’s authorized secure portal when instructed.
